Caring Responsibilities
A carer is someone of any age who provides unpaid support to family or friends who could not manage without this help. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems. Carers may even be juggling paid work with their unpaid caring responsibilities at home.
If you need help or advice about caring for someone there are a number of groups which can help. The Direct Gov website has general information for carers and you can also visit the Princess Royal Trust website.
Dundee also has a local Carers Centre and contact details for it can be found on the Dundee Carers Centre website.
